Counselling
Counselling is the process of meeting with a therapist to resolve problematic behaviors, beliefs, feelings, relationship issues, and/or somatic responses (sensations in the body). Beginning therapy can be a big step toward being the healthiest version of yourself and living the best life possible—no matter what challenges you may be facing. Through therapy, you can change self-destructive behaviors and habits, resolve painful feelings, improve your relationships, and more.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
Cognitive behavioral therapy is a psycho-social intervention that aims to improve mental health. CBT focuses on challenging and changing unhelpful cognitive distortions and behaviors, improving emotional regulation, and the development of personal coping strategies that target solving current problems an past unresolved issues. CBT is one of the most highly effective therapy which enable individuals to be self-regulative. In short, making them capable enough to fight their own battles.
Psychotherapy
Person-centered therapy, also known as person-centered psychotherapy, person-centered counseling, client-centered therapy and Rogerian psychotherapy, is a form of psychotherapy developed by psychologist. Rogers believed that a therapist who embodies the three critical and reflexive attitudes (the three core conditions) will help liberate their client to more confidently express their true feelings without fear of judgement. To achieve this, the client-centred therapist carefully avoids directly challenging their client's way of communicating themselves in the session in order to enable a deeper exploration of the issues most intimate to them and free from external referencing. Rogers was not prescriptive in telling his clients what to do, but believed that the answers to the clients' questions were within the client and not the therapist. Accordingly, the therapists' role was to create a facilitative, empathic environment wherein the client could discover the answers for him or herself.
My Approach
I, Mona Raval, have a deep passion for the field of psychology, and I believe that my skills can be used for the betterment of society. I may not be able to change the world, but I believe I can change one life at a time.

I speak four languages — Hindi, Gujarati, English, and psychology. By psychology as a language, I mean that I do not focus only on my client’s spoken language; I also try to understand and communicate with their feelings and emotions.

I believe that every individual has the potential for self-actualization. All they need is someone who listens to them, understands them, and helps them believe in themselves as they build confidence. With years of experience in this field, I have worked with clients facing a wide range of concerns. Over time, I have developed and strengthened my ability to approach each individual without judgment.
I also believe that everyone opens up and shares at their own pace. Each person is different, and everyone grows at a different rate — and that is completely okay. Accepting individuals as they are, with their strengths and shortcomings, is central to my belief and practice.

Alongside this, my ethical values guide me to always offer my clients the best of my efforts during therapy, while keeping their personal well-being in mind. As I build understanding and connection with my clients throughout the therapeutic process, I place great importance on confidentiality and privacy. My aim is to provide a healthy, supportive, and accommodating environment during sessions to encourage recovery and growth.

I believe therapy is a joint effort, where both the client and the therapist work together toward therapeutic goals with dedication and motivation for change.

My services are not driven by money; my intention is to help people who are in need.
